Overview
GCTA recognizes that reading is critical for many jobs and math is also relied on heavily. The demand for mastering those skills is what drives the Foundations course.
Foundations is designed to increase the language and math skills necessary to accomplish work in the ever-evolving world we live in. Learners practice “real world” scenarios using reading, writing, and basic math to become more comfortable with what they encounter at work on an everyday basis.
For learners without a formal degree, this course offers the ability to increase employability, earn higher wages, and strengthen the skills needed to make a career change.
Instructors teach lessons in a way that students can visualize a situation, find a solution and explain it using mathematical terms or written documentation appropriate for work.
What you’ll learn:
- Solutions to simple problems and how to apply them correctly
- Communication techniques to express ideas clearly
- Decision-making skills
What to expect after graduation
When you complete the course, you will receive a Certificate of Completion recognized by GCTA. The Certificate paves the way for you to receive an acceptance letter into GCTA’s career training programs.
