Your new career as a building maintenance technician awaits.

Graduates of this program will be able to demonstrate skills in environmental responsibility and regulatory compliance and establish procedures for maintaining buildings and facilities. Students will also learn how to maintain professional relationships, communicate effectively, process timely work orders, and learn basic skills in electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, HVAC, painting, and interior finishes.

What to Expect After Graduation

Graduates who pass the CAM-T exam will initially receive a provisional certification and upgrade to a full credential following 12 months of employment. Graduates will be eligible for up to 480 paid work experience hours during this training. Building maintenance job opportunities include working at apartment complexes and other types of multi-family housing units.

Consisting of 100 classroom hours and 48 work experience hours

Eligibility Requirements

  • Photo ID
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
    (Social Security, Birth Certificate, Work Visa, or Green Card)
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must pass a background check
  • Passing scores on entrance assessments

Note: All students must attend a mandatory orientation before the first day of class.
